Grammy-nominated Hugo Satorre on the bandoneon and Top 10 Billboard World Music winner Winnie Cheung with the LA Tipica will captivate you at the beloved hidden corner of Santa Barbara that everyone knows about: Buena Onda & Empanadas.

Grammy-nominated Hugo Satorre joins us fresh from his tour across Europe and the US, having performed in over 40 cities. Hugo's playful style combines virtuosity, improvisation, and an extensive knowledge of tango's people and history. He has collaborated with numerous artists, from big orchestras to individual performers, spanning shows, milongas, and theater concerts. Santa Barbara holds a special place in his heart, and we eagerly await his return to our community.
 
Winnie Cheung, a Top 10 Billboard World Music award winner, will join Hugo for the western half of the US tour. Winnie is a tango dancer, educator, and a recent but influential figure in the world of tango. She excels in playing the piano and bandoneon, and her insightful teaching injects new approaches and energy into tango music and dance.
 
They will be accompanied by the Los Angeles Tipica, a full tango orchestra making their highly anticipated debut. This Los Angeles-born project comprises eleven musicians, including four bandoneons, a violin, a piano, and bass players. Cameron Voloshin, an accomplished dancer, computer scientist, pianist, and bandoneon player, leads the orchestra.
